At Sylvan Funerals we offer funerals that are tailored to your requirements. We don’t have set packages or try to fit you into a set style of funeral as every person is unique. Costs can vary significantly depending on what is involved and often the best way to make an informed decision about the combination of services, is by speaking with us.

We will listen to your needs, explore your options, and explain the detail without obligation. We will also provide you with an accurate, itemised cost estimate and answer any questions you may have.

Burial Services

If you are arranging a burial, you may already know the cemetery that is to be used. There may even be a pre-purchased or existing cemetery plot.

All cemeteries are different and knowing the options available are important when making a decision and may include:

Lawn Burial plots where the plaque is either recessed into the lawn or on a raised sloped desk.

Headstone Burial plots where a more traditional upright headstone is erected from Granite on a concrete strip or within a garden.

Monumental Burial plots where a traditional monument is constructed to cover the grave, and this is generally made by a qualified mason.

Cremation Services

Cremation is a respectful, dignified and affordable funeral option, with flexibility for the type of service you may wish to plan.

Chapel Cremation Service, being a service held either in our Chapel or the Crematorium Chapel.

Church Cremation Service, where we would liaise with your church and clergy.

Private Cremation, where no formal service is held, or perhaps a memorial service is to be held at a later date.

Options for ashes memorialisation may include options from our cremation urn selection, placement at a cemetery or scattering in a special place.

Memorial Services

You may not want to have a coffin present at a funeral service, perhaps just ashes or just keep it as a casual celebration of life, this is called a Memorial Service.

Private Cremation Prior to Memorial Service is a common option for if having an official ‘funeral’ with coffins and flowers is a bit overwhelming.

You can still have a Celebrant or Minister lead the service, music and photo slideshow and the flexibility of having the memorial at any location of your choosing.

Some options are at home, at the local sports club, tavern, golf club, local hall and many more spaces.

Taking your loved one home is now a lot easier, with our expert team, we handle all legal requirements to have your loved one’s body or ashes sent home either interstate or internationally.
